Orem, UT, October 22, 2008 -- Suncrest Diamonds is a sister company of Sundance Diamonds, the world’s leading high pressure high temperature (HPHT) diamond processing company, announced today the opening of a state-of-the-art diamond testing service in the Brink’s office of the Israel Diamond Exchange in Ramat Gan, Israel. At no charge to the trade, the testing will indicate if HPHT processing can increase the value of a diamond to a colorless, near colorless, or fancy pink, yellow, or orange color.
The new testing facility, located in the Maccabi Building of the Exchange, is by appointment only. It is the second Sundance testing facility opened this year. The first one opened in January 2008, in New York City. Sundance representatives, Jim Littman and Carlos Cornejo, will host the office opening on October 30, 2008. All bourse members are invited to attend.
“Sundance Diamonds recognizes that the Israel diamond industry plays a significant role in the worldwide diamond trade. By opening a testing facility in Israel, the company can better serve these customers by providing a valuable tool to help maximize diamond value and margin,” said Carlos Cornejo, customer manager at Sundance Diamonds.
“Through its exclusive Sundance technology, customers will now have the advantage of knowing the diamond type of each submitted stone and an estimate of the final result of HPHT before committing to processing,” added Jim Littman, director of business development at Sundance Diamonds.
“The Sundance Diamonds testing facility provides a great opportunity for the trade,” according to Raz Zvi, global services manager at Brink’s. “Sundance customers can now take advantage of a one-stop service that makes testing and shipping diamonds very easy.”
All HPHT processing is done at Suncrest Diamonds headquarters in Orem, Utah, which has been a center for high pressure high temperature diamond analysis, technological innovation, and processing for more than 30 years. Through its expertise, Suncrest Diamonds is able to improve the color/value of most low-color higher clarity (VS and above) diamonds. Natural brown and cape diamonds can be permanently transformed into a variety of colors from colorless to Fancy Intense yellow, pink, and green.
