Are Suncrest diamonds synthetic?
Suncrest diamonds are all natural diamonds that have been carefully selected, heated, and polished to bring out their beautiful yellow color.  Suncrest diamonds are not synthetic or artificial in any way.

Are Suncrest diamonds artificially color-coated or irradiated?
Suncrest diamonds are not artificially color-coated or irradiated.  Suncrest does not artificially add to or remove anything from the diamond.  

What is the difference between irradiating and heating a diamond?
Irradiating a diamond artificially changes the color of a stone by putting it under intense radiation, using electrons to stimulate a yellow color in the diamond.  Irradiation penetrates only a few millimeters into the pavilion of the stone, applying a layer of yellow.  Unfortunately, when an irradiated stone is touched by a jeweler's torch, its color can fade or often completely disappear.  This is a common problem for jewelers as they set or retip an irradiated diamond.  Unlike irradiation, Suncrest diamonds are all natural diamonds that are heated under pressure to bring out their stunning color.  This color is permanent and is consistent throughout the entire stone.  The Suncrest color will never fade or diminish under any condition.   

What is the difference between coating and heating a diamond?
Low clarity diamonds are generally color-coated, or "painted", to achieve a brighter color in the stone.  These artificially treated diamonds can lose or change their color through polishing or under normal wear and cleaning.  When a color-coated diamond is touched by a jeweler's torch, its color will completely disappear. Unlike color-coated stones, Suncrest Diamonds are all natural diamonds that are heated under pressure to bring out their natural color.  This color is permanent and is consistent throughout the entire stone.  The Suncrest color will never fade or diminish under any condition.   

What is the difference between a synthetic and heated diamond?
All man-made diamonds are synthetic.  According to the Jewelers of America, "Synthetic diamonds are diamonds that have been created by man with special equipment in a laboratory."  Cubic Zirconium, Moissanite, and other diamond substitutes are all lab-created, man-made stones.  Suncrest diamonds, on the other hand, are all natural diamonds that have been carefully selected, heated, and polished to bring out their beautiful yellow color.  Suncrest diamonds are not synthetic or artificial in any way.

How does Suncrest heat its diamonds?
Suncrest uses a simple heating process to bring out the stunning yellow color found in each Suncrest stone.  This heating process is similar to that used for sapphires, rubies, and other gemstones to bring out their natural color.  In addition to applying heat to each diamond, the process recreates similar conditions of heat and pressure to those found in the earth during the formation of diamond.  

Are Suncrest diamonds certified?
With all Suncrest diamonds, you can enjoy the security of knowing that each diamond (.75 carats and larger) has been graded and certified with reputable, industry-recognized certification laboratories.
